Let us know you are planning on attending the 2025 Gammon Geaux New Orleans Backgammon Championships! Registration is open for the American Backgammon Tour main event, Player's Cup BMAB, and major Jackpots. Full details regarding all events may be viewed on our tournament brochure. Player Details

    Gammon Geaux Main ABT Tournament

    Championship & Intermediate Div.
    Start: 8:15pm Sep. 12

    Both the Gammon Geaux ABT Championship and ABT Intermediate divisional formats are single elimination with optional rebuys and dual side pools, progressive consolation, and progressive last chance. All side pools carry over.

    The Novice Championship will not be a sanctioned ABT event. Therefore, the $10 USBGF ABT fee assessed per player will not be required. Additionally, current USBGF membership is not compulsory. If you wish to play in the Novice Championship, the registration fee is free and you are welcome to pay any entry fees on-site at the Kimpton Hotel Fontenot.

    Backgammon Masters Awarding Body

    Players Cup BMAB
    Start: 10:45am Sep. 10

    Five rounds of nine point matches. All matches will be recorded, transcribed, and uploaded. Players will receive their XG files and links to their recorded matches. Optional side pools available. Side pool fees must be paid at the venue.

    Max of 32 players. High equity single elimination jackpot. 95% return. 17 point rounds. Clocks mandatory at 2m/12s settings.

    Mardi Gras Masters Jackpot
    Start: 3pm Sep. 11 or 1pm Sep. 12

    High equity single elimination jackpot with re-entries. 90% return. 13 point rounds. Clocks mandatory at 2m/12s settings.

    Lafitte Limited Jackpot
    Start: 4pm Sep. 11 or 2pm Sep. 12

    Open to players not deemed of Masters level & subject to eligibility approval. Single elimination with re-entries. 90% return. 9 point rounds. Clocks mandatory at 2m/12s settings.

    Join us at Caesars Fulton Alley for a buffet, soft drinks, and boutique bowling! We will have four reserved lanes exclusively for party guests.   Caesars Fulton Alley - Boutique Bowling Alley - located just 3 blocks from the Kimpton Hotel Fontenot at 600 Fulton St.

    We accept multiple forms of payment for entry fees and social events. Players and guests may pay electronically until Monday, Sep. 8. Paper checks sent via mail must be postmarked no later than Saturday, Sep. 6. All payments must be made in U.S. dollars.

    Players are responsible for paying any fees which result in the director receiving less than the total amount due.

    ABT Main Event Required Fee
    & Current USBGF Membership

    The ABT main event registration fee includes a $10 added fee assessed by the USBGF. The USBGF requires that all entrants be members in good standing to participate in this event.
